Light and crisp with a hint of malt sweetness, this ‘easy-on-the-eyes’ German ale drinks like a light lager.  German Pilsner Malt provides the base and a touch of wheat malt lends a soft malt character.  German noble hops balance the malt sweetness and a Kolsch Ale yeast strain straight out of Germany provides this ale with a smooth finish.

When we were first thinking about what beers we would brew and serve in our brewery, I wanted to stick to what I liked (bold and full-flavored beers). My wife, Emily, thought differently and said we should make something that the everyday beer drinker would want.  She was right and I did a 180 in my thinking and started brewing this crisp, clean, light and wonderful Kolsch.
